Status Points & Tier Level Movement
Status Points help you achieve and maintain your KM Rewards Tier Membership. The more Status Points you earn, the higher your Tier, unlocking even greater exclusive benefits.
You’ll earn 2.5 Status Points for every €1 spent on KM Malta Airlines flights and ancillaries (excluding taxes and charges). These points are credited to your account after you have completed your flight. With every Status Point earned, you're one step closer to enjoying more rewards and privileges tailored to your Tier level.
Your Status Point Collection Period runs from 1st April to 31st March each year. You have 12 months to earn enough Status Points to maintain or move up a Tier. At the end of this period, your Status Points reset to zero, and a new 12-month qualification period begins. This does not affect your SkyBux balance.

When you join KM Rewards, you’ll start as a Member. By flying with KM Malta Airlines and purchasing flight extras, you’ll earn Status Points, helping you progress through the Tiers. Your ultimate goal? Reaching Pioneer status, where the most exclusive rewards and privileges await!
Your Tier level is determined by the number of Status Points you accumulate during each Status Point Collection Period. While Member status is permanent, all other Tiers are valid until the end of the current Collection Period plus an additional year — through to 31st March of the following year.
When you join KM Rewards, you’ll begin your journey as a Member. By flying with KM Malta Airlines and purchasing flight extras, you will earn Status Points that contribute towards your Tier level. The more Status Points you collect, the closer you get to unlocking the KM Elite tiers — Traveller, Explorer, and Pioneer — with each tier offering greater rewards and privileges.
